Q: When will city workers pickup trash accumulated during my Neighbors Day event?
A: Bag your Neighbors Day trash in the two bags provided in your kit. Place bags next to trash carts on your regular pickup day along with your Neighbors Day sign.

Your Neighbors Day Kit provides you with the items you’ll need to have a successful event. It will also give you ideas on the kinds of events you may want to plan. And, it supplies you with important safety tips you can use year-round.

The kit includes:

  • An 8½ X 11 how-to and idea sheet (with mayor’s picture)
  • 1 Neighbors Day 8½ X 11 window sign
  • 5 Invitation door hangers (to place on neighbors doorknobs to invite them to your event)
  • 5 balloons
  • 1 City of Akron Fire Department safety card
  • 1 City of Akron Police Department crime safety card
  • 1 Event safety (food cooking, driveway & child safety) card
  • 1 Block Watch sign-up card
